Turkish Airlines taking businesses to new heights

Tony Collier opened an autumnal Breakfast Matters for October, and as the colder weather draws in it’s likely many of us are dreaming of warmer destinations, so the guest speaker was a fitting one; Hülya Curtis from Turkish Airlines. Before beginning, Hülya introduced the audience to the new Turkish Airlines General Manager, Mr Osman Battal, and then dove straight into some impressive statistics; Turkish Airlines flies to more countries than any other airline, with 300 destinations, 120 countries and 328 aircrafts.

After wowing all in attendance with the sheer size of the airline, the new destinations for 2017 were listed, which included:

  • Phuket, Thailand
  • Mexico City
  • Nantes, France
  • Kessel, Germany
  • Urmeih, Iran

With a staggering 62.7million passengers carried in 2016, and a predicted 69million expected this year, Turkish Airlines have experienced their most successful year to date, which has included an impressive advertising campaign with non-other than Morgan Freeman!

Whether choosing to fly Business Class or Economy Class, Turkish Airlines offer an unrivalled experience, from full-flat seats with 180° inclination and an onboard chef in Business, to 200+ movies and spacious seats in Economy. The airline has also mastered the provision of a value-added service, offering free tours of Istanbul for transit passengers, allowing you to see the sights whether your connection time is 6 or 9 hours.

Hülya closed her presentation by taking some questions from the audience, which varied from the impact of other airlines closing to the potential of a returning evening flight from Manchester to Turkey.

Peter Collins drew the winner for his free LinkedIn Health Check, which was Kate Howe from Cadence Property, and the final winner of a 12-month strategy plan from New Level Results was Matthew Baker from Informed Solutions.
