Blackstone Solicitors continue to add to their string of accolades as three of their lawyers are named in the prestigious ‘Legal 500’ whilst Managing Director, Emma Nawaz was shortlisted for ‘Woman Lawyer of the Year’ in the Law Society’s Excellence Awards.

The ‘Legal 500’ was established 29 years ago to analyse and rank the capabilities of law firms across the world through a comprehensive and independent research programme which is updated every year.

The ‘Legal 500’ recognises teams who are providing the most cutting edge and innovative legal advice and this year three lawyers from Blackstone, renowned for their skill in commercial and residential property, have been listed – David Walton, Michelle Rothburn and Nick Jackson.

Commenting Blackstone’s Managing Director, Emma Nawaz said, “I’m thrilled that three members of my team have been included in the ‘Legal 500’ this year. We place great emphasis on the growth and development of the individuals at Blackstone and it is gratifying when their hard work pays off and they are recognised by their peers. I am especially proud to have a strong commercial and residential property team at Blackstone who are successfully handling significant negotiations for our clients”.

Additionally, Emma Nawaz was recently shortlisted from among the brightest and best of the legal profession for the Law Society of England and Wales’ Excellence Award.  Emma was shortlisted in the category ‘Woman Lawyer of the Year’.

The Law Society’s annual awards event recognises the commitment, enthusiasm, and passion that solicitors dedicate to serving their clients which underpins the UKs world-renowned legal system.

Commenting on her nomination Emma said, “I was thrilled to have been shortlisted for ‘Women Lawyer of the Year’ in one of the Excellence Awards and pleased to have been shortlisted alongside highly respected lawyers across the UK legal profession.  To be recognised by the Law Society for my hard work in building and developing Blackstone Solicitors into a leading law firm is very rewarding and I am extremely proud of our achievements to date”.
