An update on key employment issues

In this Breakfast Matters, Jill will provide an update on key employment issues and in particular will cover the important and topical subject of Employment Status in the changing world of work and the rise of the gig economy.

Through explaining the three categories of ‘employed’ ‘self-employed’ and ‘worker’; Jill will outline what it all means, current developments, what employers need to be aware of and any risks they may face.

About the Speaker

Jill Bottomley is the Owner/Director of the HR Dept (Trafford & Warrington) with the team providing outsourced HR to SMEs and to the education sector. They are the 2017 winners of the Altrincham and Sale Chamber of Commerce ‘Provider of Professional Services’ Business Award.

As a Fellow of the CIPD and with nearly 30 years’ HR experience, gained from working in the corporate sector, with SMEs and with schools/Multi-Academy Trusts, also as a voluntary Director of The Hamblin Education Trust (Altrincham Grammar School for Boys and North Cestrian School), Jill is able to provide pragmatic and commercial insight into key employment issues.
